The brew house is gleaming front and centre
The brew house is gleaming front and centre in the main taproom so that you can really get a sense of the CREATIVE PROCESS in the making of beer.
The space is small but offers a range of seating for up to 30 with great views of the brewing process as well as the Upper Rideau lakeside harbour.
We have comfortable bar stools and booth seating for casual conversation or serious beer tasting ‘meetings’. The back seating area offers a beer-biblio , cozy fireside nook and window seat facing the harbour for sample flight sharing and scrabble games.
Our small food prep area is wide open like a farmhouse kitchen, so we can tempt you with the daily offerings of homemade soup or chilli, savoury and salty snacks or tasty bites & boards of charcuterie and smoked fish for sharing, complementing the house beer offerings on tap.
Finally, the ‘back porch’ will offer a small number of seats seasonally for outside air/sun seekers who want to drink their beer flights while people, boat and bird watching.

With all that said we are a lot packed into a small space, so don’t try to come in huge groups or gaggles but instead, expect to make more frequent visits with only a few friends at a time (remember to include us in the count).
Can’t stay or no room to sit for a cold one? Grab a fresh filled Cottage Crowler from our cooler and take it to go. (A Cottage Crowler is a really big can of beer (32oz.) that we offer as an alternate to the ol’ glass growler). It is more convenient, portable, lightweight, sanitary and ecologically friendly; perfect for taking camping, hiking, boating or anywhere else breakage might be an issue. Drink Fresh!
